Through my paintings I use rich contrasting colors and patterns to reimagine photographs in haunting and humorous ways and place them in ambiguous contexts. I am interested in exploring complicated relationships, the dark side of the nuclear family, and normalized childhood indoctrination.

I currently live in Calgary, AB, Canada, and am working on my Master of Fine Arts at Maine College of Art through their low residency program.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst . I also served as an Arabic linguist in the U.S. Air Force and have an Associate of Arts in Arabic from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA.
